Merci Gilles. This produced interesting results. It created the "test subfolder" but placed it under "drafts."

This is the command I used:

D:\temp>imapsync.exe --buffersize 8192000 --nosyncacls --subscribe --host1 imap.

ionix.net --user1 test at ionix dot net --password1 Pass71866 --host2 mail.ionixinterne

t.com --user2 test at ionixinternet dot com --password2 Pass71866 --noauthmd5 --sep1 /

--prefix1 "" > out.log 2>&1

Here is some of the output:

Host1 folders list:

[INBOX]

[INBOX/Test subfolder]

[Sent]

Host2 folders list:

[INBOX]

[INBOX.Drafts]

[INBOX.Sent]

[INBOX.Trash]

[INBOX.spam]

Folders in host2 not in host1:

[INBOX.spam]

[INBOX.Trash]

[INBOX.Drafts]

++++ Looping on each folder

[INBOX]                             -> [INBOX]

msg INBOX/610153314 {4714}    copied to INBOX/1784

[INBOX/Test subfolder]              -> [INBOX.INBOX.Test subfolder]

Creating folder [INBOX.INBOX.Test subfolder] on host2

msg INBOX/Test subfolder/576895791 {956}     copied to INBOX.INBOX.Test subfolde

r/1

[Sent]                              -> [INBOX.Sent]

msg Sent/610153940 {809}     copied to INBOX.Sent/9

++++ End looping on each folder

It is much closer now that it is creating the subfolder and moving the subfolder mail. If I can put the “test subfolder” at the same level as “Drafts” and “Sent” etc. then it will be perfect. How is it I keep ending up with INBOX.INBOX.Test subfolder? If it would just create “INBOX.Test subfolder,” all would be well.

Russell

Hello Russel,

Ok.

Looking at those folder listings, if imapsync can't find them, you should use:

--sep1 / --prefix1 "" --sep2 . --prefix2 INBOX.

I think --sep2 . --prefix2 INBOX. may be useless

To log to a file out.log just do

imapsync.exe ... > out.log 2>&1
