Hello Jelle,

I am trying to move all the folders with less then 1000 messages so I
wanted to exclude the INBOX and the Sent Items, but not the subfolders
of those folders.

I tried --exclude "^INBOX$", --exclude "^INBOX" and --exclude "INBOX"
but they all discard the subfolders. I also did some trial and error
test with combining --include and --exlude.

What would be the correct way of excluding INBOX but including al
INBOX/* subdirs?

--exclude "^INBOX$" is a right way to exclude only INBOX and it should work.

For example I tried the following and I saw that only INBOX was excluded from the sync:

--exclude '^INBOX$' --justfolders --nofoldersizes

++++ Looping on each folder
[INBOX.2005-INBOX]                  -> [INBOX.2005-INBOX]
[INBOX.Draft]                       -> [INBOX.Draft]
[INBOX.Drafts]                      -> [INBOX.Drafts]
...

A run without --exclude '^INBOX$' gives:

++++ Looping on each folder
[INBOX]                             -> [INBOX]
[INBOX.2005-INBOX]                  -> [INBOX.2005-INBOX]
[INBOX.Draft]                       -> [INBOX.Draft]
[INBOX.Drafts]                      -> [INBOX.Drafts]
...
