sorry, I was assuming that I'm writing to the list. Mistakenly clicked
on "reply" instead of "reply all".

THIS IS IT. After emptying the trash the synchronisation works again.
I'll spread this info since probably more people will be having the
problem.

Gilles, could it be that the link to the mailing list archive is dead?
http://www.linux-france.org/prj/imapsync_list/ doesn't work for me.
