Sync from Googlemail to new gmail (google apps)

Hi,

I've been trying to sync my old gmail to my google apps account. I'm
doing the following command:

imapsync --host1 imap.gmail.com \
--port1 993 --user1 gooniefrank at gmail dot com \
--password1  PWCHANGED --ssl1 \
--host2 imap.gmail.com \
--port2 993 --user2 vinh at romanceculture dot com --ssl2 \
--password2  PWCHANGED  \
--syncinternaldates --split1 100 --split2 100 \
--authmech1 LOGIN --authmech2 LOGIN;


I'm constantly getting the error "message_string: expected ... bytes
but received .... at /urs/bin/imapsync 2578".
Going to that line in imapsync I also see some comment which looks a
bit confusing: #BUG? ....#No bug, some servers are buggy.
So in case the google servers are buggy, is there anything I can do?

Turned ON syncinternaldates, will set the internal dates on host2 same as host1.
TimeZone:[SGT]
Will try to use LOGIN authentication on host1
