Escritor
is
a set of five free software programs aimed towards education and training
as a whole.
They were created by Jean-Yves Chasle.
They can be downloaded free of charge
from this site (the complete source code - in Delphi 3 - included) from
this site.
|

Escritor
can be currently used in the following fields :
-
"remediation" or differenciated learning
in teaching
-
distant education
-
personal cultivation
|
A
multimedia PC (under Microsoft Windows 9x) comes with a graphic tablet
and headphones makes up the "student post". Just add a microphone to it
and it becomes the teacher's work place. |
WithEscritor
Creation
release, the teacher can
compose any type of exercise that he wants in a flash as if he was actually
in a class with the help of the graphic tablet stylus. He can easily punctuate
dictated sentences and illustrate everything with pictures, videos, music
or sounds. The teacher alone decides what, from the dictation (textual
or musical) to the research exercise, has to be done, the software never
hinders a particular "shape" in terms or correction. |
| With Escritor
Touch-up
release, any page can be modified at any time by adding or deleting
explanations, changing the colour or thickness of the writing, etc... Its
possibilities are limitless. |
The
student will use Escritor
Runtime release to work on his own in individual sessions along with
the pages created by his teacher. The pencil trace is recorded in real
time (as on a video tape recorder) by the software. Thanks to this, the
teacher is able to watch afterwards, paying attention to even the slightest
details of the student. He can speed up or slow down the process, print
and annotate it himself. It avoids using the keyboard and mouse that the
student doesn't "traditionally" have access to in the class. |
Escritor
is
especially adaptated to rooms equiped with computer networks and page exchanges
through the Internet. The interface was conceived and modified by teachers
concerned with an intuitive approach, without any extended knowledge of
computer functions. In short, if you know how to open a file, you already
know how to use Escritor ! |
| Under a "free licence" (General
Public Licence), every module that makes up Escritor
in its official version are free of charge and can be distributed and modified
by any user. Escritor and its source
code (in Delphi 3) can be downloaded free of charge from this official
site. Escritor comes with NO WARRANTY
as stipulated by the GPL. The reader, if interested, should refer to the
full text of the GPL for more information. |
