Overview

The Fred's Own Filemanager (fof) program is not, strictly speaking, a standard graphical filemanager. This is more a frontend to several Unix commands.

Fof is also a highly customizable tool (well, not as customizable as emacs but this is just a start :-), you can associate other programs with new menu entries, specify default view & edit commands for each file type and so on.

The main objective of the program is to provide a powerfull user interface, with contextual menus, drag and drop, muliple windows and many more features to the basic Unix commands.
